After 14 years of manufacturing and sponsoring the Newcastle United shirt Adidas have ended their relationship perturbed by the amount of negative press surrounding the club at present.

It is understood Adidas are currently in talks with Tottenham to become their new kit suppliers once their Puma deal reaches an end in the summer. Ironically it appears Puma will now become kit supplier to Newcastle in the summer. Newcastle United currently top of the Championship have been looking to restructure their commercial operations including putting the naming rights to St James’s Park up for sale.
